At 18 months we had Ryder on some toddler skis while we were visiting West Virginia<\/a> 2 years ago. So we can\u2019t say this was his first time officially however yesterday was distinctly different. He had real skis that we bought at a local used ski warehouse<\/a> and we were on a real slope at Whitetail resort<\/a> and had his first lift ticket (free thankfully). While it was a haul to get up there and the expense doesn\u2019t make economic sense… the smile on his face was priceless. We rode the magic carpet a handful of times and he insisted that we go on the chair lift to cap off the day… \u00a0both official firsts (all at 3.5 years!).\u00a0\u00a0 We had to pry him away from the slopes when the sun started getting low, so we chalk this up to a massive success. We’re hoping to get up here at least 3 more times this season.<\/p>\n
