How is it already 4th of July weekend? Didn’t the summer just start last week? Holy smokes things are flying by.
Along with the trips in Grand Talley, so far we’ve spent a lot of time over at grandma Lois’ place and out on the power boat. This weekend we were out on it everyday and I even took the boat over to Annapolis to pick moose up from sailing camp in an attempt to avoid getting stuck in long holiday weekend Friday traffic. I’m not sure it really saved much in time, but it was fun nonetheless.
The 4th was on Monday, but the community fireworks (actually from Gibson Island)were Sunday night. It was past Ej’s bedtime, so I ran Kris and Ej home and came back to grandma’s to take them to the Cape St. Clair beach to watch the fireworks… hard to believe that was our first time there since moving here in 2007. It was a nice community celebration and fireworks show. Soon enough, the 8 year old was dozing off in the back seat of the car as we headed home.
