3 weeks to go: Full financial approval. Scheduled addendum items including the chimney repair and attic vent. Acquire cavernous storage. Pack non essential things. Clear attic storage and take to storage.
2 weeks to go: anxiously waiting for Ramblewood buyers to secure final approval. More packing, pictures coming down from walls, shop 80% empty, office cabinets dismantled. Addendum items almost done, only the sump pump installation and the fogged sunroom window await. The $4k fireplace insert that the buyers insisted on was done yesterday. We’re waiting on permission to early occupy or at least gain access to the garage for our furniture to move over.
1 week to go: still haven’t received the buyer’s final approval, but their loan guy insists it will close. Approval for early occupy (of even the garage) has been denied, so plan B is now in effect (a giant moving truck). As of last night, the cavernous storage unit is packed (omg we have too much stuff!!!!!). We pick up the moving truck this Friday and will have it through the following Thursday. Piles of boxes tower in every room of the house. Each time we turn around, we find something else that needs to be addressed. This is the home stretch, but its anything but a downhill slide.
