It was clear that Ryder was advancing fast in BMX and more importantly, he loved doing it. Add into that that the bike we bought from the track for him at the beginning of the season was on the small end of the spectrum for him, we started shopping for the next level bike. Thankfully, the BMX community, and most importantly the kids BMX community is one that supports budding riders and there is a vast stock of pre-owned bikes.
We didn’t have to look far. One of Ryder’s team mates out grew his bike and thus there was a fantastic upgrade available. The previous owner made sure the bike had everything it needed for an affordable price. As usual, I stripped the bike down, and swapped some parts out so it fit correctly as well as adding some of Ryder’s more recently acquired items and wow… this thing is sweet.
